There is no contact form on this page, on purpose
A contact form collects personal data: at minimum your name, your email address and your message, usually your IP address as well, and in most implementations it hands all of that to a third-party form service. This site is built to collect nothing at all, and a form would break that promise for the sake of saving you one click. Email does the same job, and it leaves the record in your own sent folder rather than in a database of ours. See the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
What to write to us about
- A factual error on the site
- Please include the page, the passage, and a source if you have one. This is the message we most want to receive. What happens next is set out in our corrections procedure: we aim to acknowledge within five working days, we check against a primary source, and substantive corrections are published on the article itself with a note saying what we previously got wrong.
- A data-protection request
- Rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR. We answer within one month. Please read section 7 of the privacy policy first: because we identify no reader, there is usually no data of yours for us to find.
- A right of reply
- If you are, or represent, a party criticised by name on this site, write to us. We will publish a reply on the page in question or correct it, as appropriate.
- A commercial or press enquiry
- Use the same address. Note that we do not sell placement, do not publish sponsored articles and do not accept payment for a favourable verdict — see the editorial policy.
- A legal notification
- Send it to the registered postal address above, addressed to the director of publication. Publisher identification, company number, VAT number and the applicable supervisory bodies are set out in the legal notice.
Response times
We are a small publisher, not a support desk. We aim to acknowledge correspondence within five working days, and we answer data-protection requests within the one month required by Article 12(3) GDPR. We read everything.
What we cannot help with
We are an independent publication and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Avast, Gen Digital Inc. or any other vendor named on this site. We cannot access your account with a vendor, cancel a subscription, issue a refund, provide technical support for a product, or intervene in a dispute with a vendor. Any purchase you made is a contract between you and that vendor — please contact them directly through their own support channels.
